The owner, Jay Couch, embodies the essence of the Unimog itself. "Freedom to negotiate any terrain and tackle any task," is a motto in his work. Tenacity and versatility put Couch and the Unimog in a league of their own.

After years of being involved in the 4WD and Unimog community, Couch opened his business in Denver, Colorado, in 2002. He's lived his passion by repairing, customizing and building some of the world's most impressive and remarkable machines.

Jay Couch has built an authoritative reputation in the 4WD and Unimog industry with 22 years of hands-on experience. Peers refer to him without hesitation when the toughest of problems arise. All of his extensive knowledge is put to use as a problem solver with the most creative and cost-effective solutions around. The workmanship is always top-notch, and he's never willing to sacrifice quality in any undertaking.

Couch is a true leader and enthusiast in the Unimog community in the United States. He and his Mogs have been to places and traversed terrains previously thought impossible to conquer. Aside from being the first American to race in Europe's biggest off-road event, Breslau Rallye, Couch has worked with SpiderPlow's Unimogs installing fiber optic/power cables, gas lines and waterlines all around the globe. Eventually hired as a leader for research and development, he also traveled the world to train workers in the most efficient use of the Unimog and MAN in all environments.
